Ordering and Choosing Your Package
How does MyDressbox work?
Choose the package that best matches your wedding gown. We send you a collection box with a prepaid return label. Pack the fully dry gown using the supplied instructions and drop it at your local NZ Post. After the gown arrives, we assess, clean, steam and carefully box it before return delivery.
Which wedding dress cleaning package should I choose?
Compare your gown with the photographs and descriptions on our wedding dress cleaning packages and prices page. Consider its shape, skirt volume, train and level of detailing. Send photographs through Live Chat if you are unsure.
What if I choose the wrong MyDressbox?
If your wedding dress is assessed as a different package after it arrives, we will contact you and arrange any required credit or upgrade before proceeding.
How long does the MyDressbox process take?
Collection-box delivery varies by location. Once your gown arrives, we confirm receipt and provide an estimated cleaning turnaround based on its condition and our current workload.
How soon should I clean my wedding dress after the wedding?
We recommend arranging cleaning as soon as practical because some stains become harder to treat over time. Your gown must be completely dry before it is packed in the supplied bag and collection box.
I didn't get my wedding dress cleaned straight after my wedding – can I still order a MyDressbox?
Yes. We regularly receive gowns that were not cleaned immediately after the wedding. We may still be able to help, but results depend on the gown's fabric, condition and the age of the staining. Send us photographs through Live Chat if you are unsure.

Wedding Dress Cleaning Questions
Can you clean wedding dresses with beading or lace?
We regularly clean wedding dresses with beading and lace. Suitability depends on the gown's construction, embellishments, care label and condition, so send us photographs before ordering if you have concerns.
Do you dry clean wedding dresses?
Wedding dress dry cleaning is often used as a general search term, but not every gown should be treated in the same way. Our method is water based and we don't use any harsh chemicals.
Do you clean silk wedding dresses?
We can clean some silks and silk blends. However, natural silks are typically not suitable for our process. If a silk gown is sent to us and cannot be processed, a $25 administration fee will apply to cover the handling and returning process. Before placing your order, drop us a pic of your care label via Live Chat and we'll assist you directly.
There’s some damage to my dress, should I get it repaired before I send it?
Minor repairs may include loose beads, missing hooks or eyes, and small seam repairs. Rips in tulle or fabric, alterations and extensive damage are not considered minor repairs. Send photographs through Live Chat before ordering if your gown has significant damage.
